The story of Alpay Doğaltaş begins in 1962 with a family journey from Trabzon Sürmene to Saraylar on Marmara Island. Carrying three generations of natural stone experience today, our company was officially founded in 2016 by Ogün Koç, the representative of the third generation, and began working in the natural stone supply field.
The family's roots reached Marmara Island in 1962. Migrating from Sürmene, the family settled in the Saraylar (Marmara Island) white marble basin and began taking part in natural stone trade. In those years, Marmara Island marble was being delivered to both the domestic market in Turkey and the classical architectural tradition of the Mediterranean. Respect for natural stone and the care every block deserves have been the unchanging work principles of the family from the very first day.
The second generation deepened the experience and expanded the supply network. Closely familiar with the veins of the Marmara Island quarries, the quality of blocks, and which stone suited which project, this generation built a reliable line that connected the selection, supply, and processing stages of natural stone by forming relationships with partner workshops. This step shifted the family from being one that simply knew stone into one that designed solutions tailored to the project.
The third generation structured Alpay Doğaltaş as an official brand in 2016. Ogün Koç gathered the experience accumulated by the family over three generations under a professional supply brand. Today the company works as a natural stone supplier that matches the right block, with the right quality, to the right project from quarries across Turkey, principally in Saraylar. Regular shipments are made to the European market, especially to Romania, Bulgaria, and neighboring countries.
For Alpay Doğaltaş, three generations of experience is more than a historical account. We carry as accumulated knowledge the ability to know which vein will yield which class of block, what surface the raw block will reveal once cut, and which workshop is specialized in which type of marble. This accumulation offers architectural teams and contractors not just a block seller but a supplier that can serve as a technical reference for their projects.

We select every block at the quarries as if visiting our own home, take one more look at every slab at our partner workshops, and consider it a duty to stand behind every piece loaded into a container.
