Luxury residential and villa projects sit at the top of the spaces where natural stone shows itself most clearly. No matter how ambitious the architect's plan on paper, whether that space truly feels luxurious depends largely on the chosen surface material. What we have observed for years while supplying natural stone to residential projects of different scales is clear: a process that starts with the right block is felt the moment the end user first sets foot on the floor.
Marmara marble is at the top of the list of stones we are asked to supply for luxury residential projects. There are emotional reasons for this as much as technical ones. The soft gray veins of classic Marmara, the calm surface of Pure White, the dramatic contrast of Panda each answer a different architectural language. While Pure White is preferred for a plain and minimal villa interior, the vein density of classic Marmara stands out in residential projects with a more classical line. Pijama Ekvator, with its linear character, finds its place with architects in search of a modern line.
Supply requests in residential projects generally concentrate on four main points: living room and entrance hall floor cladding, bathroom countertops, wall panels, and sills. The preference for large-format slabs in living room floors grows every year. Sizes such as 60x120, 80x160 and above both reduce the amount of jointing in the floor and allow the stone's vein continuity to be preserved. Slab supply at this scale requires a careful process that starts with block selection. According to the architectural plan, how many slabs will come out of which block, and how the vein direction will flow at each point, is planned ahead of the project.
In bathroom countertop supply, the seamless joinery the architect seeks has become an important criterion. We recommend the homogeneous type of Marmara marble for single-piece full sink blocks, U-shaped countertops, or double-basin applications. Homogeneous marble is preferred on wide countertop surfaces thanks to the ability to be cut in large dimensions without veining concerns. Pure White, on the other hand, is prepared at custom dimensions at our partner workshops for projects that seek a calmer bathroom atmosphere.
Wall panel supply has become the fastest-growing item in luxury residential projects in recent years. We supply large-format slabs in points such as fireplace back accent walls, headboard panels, and elevator lobby cladding. In these projects, vein continuity is critical. The vein visible on a single slab must continue with a natural flow on the second slab placed alongside. At the block selection stage we evaluate this detail together with the architect or interior designer and reserve the slab count required by the project from within the same block slice.
