Landscape projects are where natural stone steps out of the interior and meets nature face to face. Aesthetics alone are not enough here. You are choosing a material that rain, sun, frost, and soil will stand on for years. For this reason, when a supply request arrives for a landscape project, we clarify three questions at the start: in which climate zone it will be applied, which architectural language it will answer, and on which surfaces it will be used. These three answers shape the direction of both the marble and the Dolomite aggregate selection.
White Dolomite Aggregate is the backbone of landscape supply. On garden paths, around tree bases, near pool surrounds, and in gravel-spread areas, it has been our most frequently requested product for years. The structure of Dolomite is tighter and more wear-resistant than calcite marble. This property is decisive in outdoor use. On garden paths with high foot traffic, when a stable surface that does not darken after rain is desired, White Dolomite Aggregate is preferred. We supply the aggregate by the ton and generally direct it to landscape applications in the 6-12 mm grain range. Finer-grain surfaces are selected for decorative gravel spread, and coarser-grain ones are selected for pool-surround drainage areas.
Marble slab supply takes on a different role in landscape design. At points such as garden walking path slabs in villas, slip-resistant marble at pool edges, exterior facade cladding panels, and entrance podiums, different types of Marmara marble are used. Around pools, the application we recommend is marble slabs with a brushed or sandblasted top finish. This finish both makes the surface slip-resistant and prevents reflection under the sun. Classic Marmara, Pure White, and White Dolomite slabs are the most common types we supply for such applications.
Exterior facade cladding supply is the line item that bridges landscape and architecture. At points such as slab cladding that starts on the villa facade and flows into the garden, garage entrance walls, and landscape low walls, marble slabs are preferred. In these projects, when supplying slabs not only the aesthetic but also the frost resistance is a criterion. In cold-region projects, we recommend types with a Dolomite structure and a low water absorption rate. The slab thickness is generally kept at 3 cm, so resistance to outdoor conditions increases and structural assurance is provided during installation.
Coordination with the landscape architect is the most critical stage of the supply process. At which area in the project the aggregate will be spread, at what thickness, what texture the slabs will end with, and how the joints will be left are topics that need to be discussed in advance. We generally calculate the ton requirement for the landscape architect. For example, in a 500 square meter garden path, we plan ahead approximately 40 tons of aggregate for a 5 cm thick spread and how many shipments will be needed to deliver this amount. In slab supply, we share with our partner processing facilities, in line with the architect's flooring plan, how many square meters and in which dimensions the slabs will be cut.
